Hi, I’m Amy, an oil painter inspired by the quiet beauty and ever-changing light of the coast. Working from my home studio in Brisbane, I love to paint the raw, changing
energy of the coast, particularly around Evans Head, a place that is close to my heart. My Evans Head series moves between the energy of wild surf and skies, and the quieter details like native coastal wildflowers.
I’m drawn to those moments in the landscape where the beauty almost stops you in your tracks - the kind that takes your breath away. For me, painting is about slowing down and noticing the quiet beauty in familiar scenes...the kind that’s easy to pass by, but deeply felt when you stop and take it in. I hope my work gives you a moment to pause and feel that too.
